Checking Your Current Version
On PC:
From the top menu, click Help → About...
A pop-up window will appear. The version number is shown in the lower-left corner.
Note: The above image example is based on MT4.
On Android:
Tap the menu icon (≡) in the top-left corner
Go to About, and check the version number below the MetaTrader 4 logo
On iPhone:
Tap Settings in the bottom-right corner
Scroll down within the Settings section to find the version number below the MetaTrader 4 logo
Updating to the Latest Version
1.Right-click the MT4/MT5 icon on your desktop
2.Select Run as administrator
When prompted with “Allow this app to make changes to your device?”, click Yes
The update will begin automatically, and MT4/MT5 will launch once complete
3.Go to File → Login to Trade Account to log in again
If the message “old version” continues to display after updating, please re-download and reinstall MT4/MT5 from the official source.
